Racial Inequality: Disturbing Power to Effect Systemic Change
This is bigger than individual prejudice. We aren’t going to eradicate the inequalities and injustices endured by black people and people of colour by focussing on individual racism alone. It’s institutionalised and systemic and will involve deconstructing the reinforcing cycle that works so hard to keep power and prejudice as it is.
Business and public sector organisations have an important role to play in shaping societal norms. They influence at a structural level in how they employ, who they partner with, how they invest and make decisions.
